Willow (they/she) has been a part of the kink community since 2015, becoming very active in Indy after officially moving here in 2020. They place an emphasis on education and constantly learning, running an educational munch on the Northside for a year and recently starting one in Broadripple. They are also helping to get IndyPrimal off the ground. They don't really identify with one label or another, rather just A Problem, leaning towards the bottom/ masochistic side of things.
If you’re curious about how to build your love of cigars into your kink, this class is for you! We will first explore cigars and cigar smoking individually, looking at ways to enjoy its erotic aspects on your own. We'll then move into a discussion of cigar service and its attention to detail and focus that can create pleasure and connection between partners. Last, we will explore some of the basics of cigar play, including ash to skin, heat-based edge play, smoke and breath play, and penetration.
Gary Wasdin is the Executive Director of the Leather Archives & Museum in Chicago, and if you have any latent librarian fantasies about overdue books and creative ways to pay your fines, he’s your guy. Scientists have begun to place BDSM under the microscope, producing theories that range from the insightful to the ridiculous. "The Science of BDSM" will explore the history of scientific research on BDSM, from early attempts by psychiatrists to pathologize sadism and masochism, to recent work by social scientists to understand the demographics of BDSM practitioners, the categories of BDSM activities, the hormonal effects of topping and bottoming, and the altered states of consciousness that BDSM activities sometimes produce.
Dr. Brad Sagarin is a professor of social and evolutionary psychology at Northern Illinois University where he studies social influence, resistance to persuasion, deception, jealousy, infidelity, human sexuality, and statistics. Brad has been published in a variety of scholarly journals, has given radio, television, and podcast interviews, has consulted for radio and television programs, and has delivered invited lectures to academic and non-academic organizations. His research has been cited in newspapers and magazines, including The Economist and New Scientist. He holds Doctorate and Master's degrees in Social Psychology from Arizona State University, and a Baccalaureate degree in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Jen Davis (she/her) is an assistant professor of psychology at Bemidji State University and a faculty member of Northwoods Queer Outreach. Her primary research interests include positive painful experiences, altered states of consciousness, extreme rituals, and sadism. Jen has presented in person and virtual workshops at BDSM/Kink/Leather events and academic conferences. She has also given podcast interviews on racial discrimination in the BDSM community and on extreme rituals. Jen received her Baccalaureate degree, Master's degree, and graduate-level certificate in quantitative statistics from Northern Illinois University.

This class will also touch on full disclosure and how important communication can be in these situations.

Malechus was introduced to the kink community in 2017 and found his home the same night.He is a switch, an owner, a dominant, a top, a bottom, and someone who does his best to experience everything he can, at least once. Over the years he has learned from some of the best and has presented around the Great Lakes Region on topics related to kink and polyamory. He is co-owner of the Facebook group The Polyamorous Underground, a space focused on growth and well being in the kink and polyamorous communities with over 20,000 members. He is also a member of the House of Fang and Claw, a blended kink and poly household that includes crossover power dynamics and lots of edge cases.
The pornography industry commonly depicts submissives as lacking power, but frequently in our communities, we find a strong dominant personality paired with an equally strong submissive one. Join us as we explore one way of viewing such relationships and how they might function. We will be referring to the codes which knights were expected to follow, and discussing how to use these values to mold a modern day power exchange relationship. While the title may suggest strict gender roles, the concepts we explore in this presentation are not gender or role specific. Our goal is to explain an alternative way of framing a Master slave relationship which celebrates and empowers both roles.

This introductory class is geared toward those who are new to or have limited knowledge of knife play. The main topics that will be covered are:
- Do’s and Don’ts and consent
- The human skin
- Hygiene
- Selection and storage of knives
- Doing knife play safely
- Aftercare
Knife play can be (no pun intended) edge play or it can be fear play, or both. This 101 class will discuss consent and the various levels of knife play. It will cover the do’s and don’ts, negotiation, the layers of human skin, hygiene, and aftercare. Also, there will be a discussion of selecting and storing knives and how to do knife play, with and without drawing blood. All attendees will receive a practice board that replicates human skin for practice. The class will wrap up with a demonstration of knife play and, assuming there are willing tops and bottoms, an opportunity for attendees to try it for themselves. This class is for both tops and bottoms as it’s just as important for bottoms to understand the safety and risks associated with any edge play.

Sadism has a pretty bad rap. The word conjures images of Joffrey Baratheon and Hannibal Lecter, and historically, sadistic impulses could lead to a diagnosis of "sadistic sadism disorder." Recently, psychologists have reconsidered sadism, defining "everyday sadism" as a personality trait that we all possess to some degree. But even here, the usual example of an everyday sadist is an Internet troll. The Science of BDSM Research Team published a study that examined the nature of BDSM sadism and how it differs from other types of sadism. In this workshop, we take a tour through past perspectives on sadism, from the assumption that sadistic impulses are universally pathological to the recognition that some situations provoke sadistic feelings in many of us. We'll then share the results of our research, including the personality profiles of BDSM sadists and non-sadistic tops and the key characteristic that differentiates prosocial sadists: the necessity of consent.

They have provided services at events like North American Bear, Cincinnati Leather Weekend, Cincinnati Critter Contest, various community events, and private sessions. They enjoy teaching bootblacking from a perspective of care and preservation of gear and goods. They are experienced in taking care of leather, rubber/latex, and neoprene. BootWitch is always looking to expand their kit and add more information to their knowledge pool!
In this class Balty teaches about the world of ABDL and the community that embraces them! He shares his unique perspective of being a switch Little and Big, as well as how this community provides a therapeutic outlet. Fighting stigma, having fun, and feeling cared for, come in for a first hand experience and listen to Balty's story.

Much of the history of leather and kink comes form an oral tradition, with stories shared and passed down among friends and chosen family. In the absence of extensive research and publication, this has allowed us to mark significant events and key people in our community. However, our memories are faulty...sometimes by accident and occasionally by design, we retain certain bits of information and omit others. Some facts are exaggerated while others are minimized or discarded completely. This is a natural element of being human, but as a result we often don't know fact from fiction. Unpacking our history and learning what we know to be true is an important part of our cultural growth. The myths and legends however are important too! Knowing why stories are remembered and shared in a particular way tells us a lot about who we are and what we value. The important thing is knowing the difference.
