The Carter/Johnson Library & Collection is a collective history of various communities who have chosen to live and love differently.  As a 501(c)(3), it is chartered to bring this history to the communities it serves.  It is the only library of its kind and contains thousands of Leather, fetish, and S/M. kink, and alternative sexuality ephemera and memorabilia dating as far back as the 1700s.  The Library is designed to put people in touch with their history by reading it, holding it, smelling it, and knowing it.
